Justin Timberlake
Children’s presenter and pop singer for teenagers, nobody gave a dime that he made a career in the world of interpretation. But even the most reticent have had to admit that Justin Timberlake started out with quite promising jobs and over time is proving that he is a high-quality actor.
Born in Memphis (Tennessee), on January 31, 1981, Justin Randall Timberlake’s childhood is marked by the sad divorce of his parents, when he was only 4 years old. His father quickly joined another woman, and his mother began a relationship with a wealthy banker. From an early age, the boy demonstrated his talent for singing, and debuted as a child country singer, on the “Star Reach” program.
At age 12 he was chosen as one of the hosts of The Mickey Mouse Club program , which made him a celebrity. There he coincided with the now ultra-famous Britney Spears , who would become his girlfriend much later, while another of the presenters was Christina Aguilera , who much later would be his musical tour partner.
At the age of 14, Justin Timberlake joined the musical group ‘N Sync, much in the vein of the Backstreet Boys, which achieved enormous success. Timberlake stayed on top when he left the group and went solo, with albums like Justified .
Justin Timberlake had played a small role in the series Touched by an Angel , and in the TV Movie Changed Dreams . But from 2005 he wanted to dedicate himself more seriously to acting, and he was chosen for an important character in Lawless City (Edison) , where he shared the bill with Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey . And although moviegoers rubbed their eyes when they read his name on the poster (but is he the same Justin Timberlake that teenagers like?), and he raised all the prejudices in the world, the truth is that he made a more What an acceptable job as a young journalist, willing to investigate a case of police corruption.
Without abandoning his musical career, Justin Timberlake was involved in titles such as Alpha Dog , Black Snake Moan or The Good Vibes Guru . He was also the first victim of the television show Punk’d, in which Ashton Kutcher pranks celebrities. Timberlake parodied Kutcher’s show on Saturday Night Live much later. He also launched his own line of perfumes and opened a restaurant in New York serving southern food, that is, from the territory where he was born.
During the Superbowl break in 2004, in the middle of a musical performance, Timberlake tore off a piece of Janet Jackson ‘s clothing , revealing a sun-shaped jewel covering the singer’s bosom, causing a huge scandal. Although it is rumored that everything was prepared (why else would a Janet Jackson jewel be put there?), Justin has always said that it was an embarrassing experience, and that he was not aware that it would happen.
In the cinema, he has established himself for his memorable work in The Social Network . He plays Sean Parker, creator of the Napster song sharing network, when he was only 20 years old. It is still paradoxical that a singer embodies the man who has practically ended the music industry. Timberlake shines in sequences like the one in which he boasts of having beaten the record companies and Eduardo – Andrew Garfield ‘s character – blames him for having lost all the lawsuits; he replies: “Do you want to open a record store, Eduardo?”
The future looks very bright on the screen for Justin Timberlake. At the moment, he has shot the comedy Bad Teacher , along with Cameron Díaz , who was once his girlfriend after his breakup with Britney Spears. He has subsequently also been linked to Jessica Biel .
