In addition, he urged the heads of various families in the neighborhood to warn their kids away from joining cults while pleading with the local clergy to emphasize sermons against youth cult involvement.

Ibagun-Okeleke is a peaceful community, according to Alangua, who blamed the unacceptable increase in cultist activity there on intruders infiltrating the neighborhood.

The Alangua has called an emergency meeting of the heads of all the families in the neighborhood in an effort to stop the spread of cultism there. Additionally, a meeting of the IPU security committee members has been called.

However, the state government stepped in and quickly cordoned off the area using security personnel to patrol and keep watch.

The government’s intervention aims to allay residents’ fears while also ensuring the safety of the defenseless citizens who are going about their regular, lawful business.
