Julie Frates (born 1990) is an American housewife, Internet personality, and former sports partner from Marblehead, Massachusetts. She is well recognized as the wife of Pete Frates (former baseball player).

Pete first came to the attention of the media after participating in the “Ice Bucket Challenge.” The challenge later went viral on the internet in order to raise money to promote awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

In fact, the campaign became huge and exploded on the internet after Frates and his family got involved. Pete had a motor neurone disease that weakens the muscles. It also affects the physical function of the person.

Unfortunately, on December 9, 2019, Pete Frates died at the young age of 34 after suffering from ALS for several years. The news of his death was first revealed by his parents that his son passed away on Monday.
