Julie Bowen Luetkemeyer was born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, on March 3, 1970. She is the second of three sisters. She is a girl with studies, she graduated from Brown University specializing in Renaissance history, and even made a stay in Florence, which has made her an Italian speaker. In her student days she participated in several theatrical productions, she clearly liked acting.
She began working in television in 1992, and has remained there mainly. The most popular series in which she has been involved are Extreme , ER , Ed , Weeds , Lost , Boston Legal and, lately, Modern Family , perhaps the one that has given her the most popularity, her role as Claire Dunphy being the main one.
Married to Scott Phillips since 2004 , she is the mother of three boys, two of them twins.
