Julie Bennett
She spent nearly three decades voicing Cindy Bear, the girlfriend of “Yogi Bear,” in the animated series. Julie Bennett passed away on March 31, 2020, at the age of 88, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, as a result of the dreaded COVID-19.
Born in New York, on January 24, 1932, Julie Bennett moved with her family to Los Angeles when she was very young. After attending Beverly Hills High School, she dabbled in theater.
In the 1950s he worked in series such as Traffic Patrol and Tiro Loco McGraw . In the end, she decided to practice almost entirely as a voice actress. She got her start in the animation field in 1960, with The Bullwinkle Show . A year later, she would voice umbrella lover Cindy Bear on The Yogi Bear Show , which became one of America’s most popular children’s shows. She gave the character a southern accent.
Later, she also dubbed Aunt May, in the 1997 Spider-Man animated series. And she played small roles in titles such as Woody Allen ‘s What’s Up, Tiger Lily , where she is also credited as a screenwriter. In the early 90’s she decided to combine her profession with a position as a property manager, changing her name to Marianne Daniels, for this work.
