Julian Lennon real name John Charles Julian Lennon is an English musician and photographer born April 8, 1963 3 in Liverpool. For three Beatles songs he was the direct inspiration: ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ (1967), ‘Hey Jude’ (1968) and ‘Good Night’ (1968). His parents divorced in 1968 and he was Sean Lennon’s half-brother. He produced several albums starting with Valotte (1984), as well as an environmental-themed documentary film WhaleDreamers. Lennon also organized photography exhibitions. Lennon was educated at Ruthin School, an independent boarding school in the town of Ruthin in Denbighshire in North Wales.

Julian Lennon was born in Liverpool on April 8, 1963. He is named after Julia Lennon, his paternal grandmother. Brian Epstein, the manager of the Beatles, was his godfather. Lennon inspired one of his father’s most famous songs, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, the lyrics of which describe a picture the boy drew, a watercolor painting of his friend, Lucy O’Donnell, from the kindergarten, surrounded by stars. Another composition inspired by him by his father was the lullaby “Good Night”, the Beatles’ closing song. He attended the filming of the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour in 1967.
When Julian was five years old in 1968, his parents divorced Japanese multimedia artist Yoko Ono following his father’s infidelity. On March 20, 1969, John Lennon married Ono, and Julian had Sean Lennon, a younger half-brother, and Kyoko Chan Cox, a half-sister. Paul McCartney wrote ‘Hey Jude’ to console him for divorce; Originally called “Hey Jules”, McCartney changed his name because he thought “Jude” was an easier name to sing. After his parents’ divorce, Julian had virtually no contact with his father until the early 1970s, when he began visiting his father regularly at the request of his father’s girlfriend, May Pang. .
