  1. He spent his childhood in Chicago and later moved to Homewood, Illinois, where he grew up as a teenager.
  2. He was 3 years old when his parents legally separated and he and his older brother lived with their mother.
  3. Juice grew up in a religious family. Therefore, he was not allowed to listen to harsh music. The only music he listened to was while playing games like Tony Hawk’s Pro-Skater and Guitar Hero that consisted mostly of rock and pop music.
  4. As a child he listened to bands such as Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold and Black Sabbath.
  5. From a young age, Juice began abusing drug use. By the time he was in 6th grade, he was already using a drug called Lean. In 2013, he became addicted to Percocet and Xanax.
  6. He started smoking cigarettes in his childhood and decided to quit smoking in his senior year of high school.
  7. At the age of 4 he learned to play the piano from his mother. He later learned drums and guitar.
  8. In the past he was a trumpet player in a band class at school.
  9. In 2015, Juice released his debut song Forever on SoundCloud while he was a sophomore. Most of his songs were recorded on his cell phone.
  10. Before his stage name Juice Wrld , he gave himself the title JuicetheKidd which was inspired by Tupac Shakur’s role in the film Juice (1992).
