‘To serve and protect’  has become  one of the most iconic fiction shows on RTVE , there is no doubt about that. Since it was released on the network, the Southern District Police Corps has won the audience’s attention with its intense plot. With more than 1,100 episodes broadcast, the series arrives every afternoon to show viewers what are those advances that are hanging over the investigations of the best-known commissioner on television, a heart attack team that  includes stars such as Juanjo Artero , among others.

The actor joined the cast of the production of the Spanish chain to  give life to one of its main characters, Emilio Bremón.  A key character in the plot that, for obvious reasons, has not left anyone indifferent. For this reason, and given that he has become one of the artists of the moment,  we will address a little more in depth about the actor of this popular series, a man originally from Madrid who has a completely brilliant professional career. You’ll be surprised!

YOUR PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Born on June 27, 1965 in Madrid, Juan José Artero Arce is artistically known as Juanjo Artero. An actor who has become recognized among the public for being part of projects for the small and big screen, in addition to the theater. Son of Gabriel Artero Guirao, a cardiovascular surgeon who treated Franco in his last days,  his first role for television was in the series ‘Verano azul’, where he played Javi.

After passing through this iconic fiction, for which he is still remembered and with which he gained great popularity, he formed a musical duo with José Luis Fernández, another of the actors in ‘Verano azul’. The duo, baptized as ‘Pancho y Javi’ came to record their first recording project in 1982, but their passage through the musical sphere did not last long, as both preferred to continue building their career as an actor.

Over the years, Juanjo Artero has worked for fiction such as ‘Hospital Central’, ‘7 lives’, ‘El barco’, ‘Amar es para siempre’, ‘El Príncipe’, among many others. Likewise, he has also demonstrated his skills as a presenter in programs such as ‘La dos en el teatro’, on TVE, and ‘Andalucía siempre’, on Canal Sur.

All this added to his numerous projects for the theater, where there are more than 20 works , for the cinema, where the fiction “There will be no peace for the wicked” stands out, and short films. Currently, he is giving life to Emilio Bremón in ‘Servir y proteger’, a daily strip fiction on TVE.

HIS PERSONAL LIFE

On a personal level, Juanjo Artero is a faithful follower of social networks. In fact, he has more than 58,000 followers on his Instagram account, a platform where he also shares his closest and most intimate face. Likewise, he has shown that, in addition to acting, he is passionate about theater, traveling and gastronomy.

On the other hand, in the field of love, the actor is married to Nuria Artero. A marriage from which his two children were born, his eldest daughter, Carlota, and his son Miguel , who has also begun to follow in his footsteps in the world of acting. In fact, he joined the ‘Serve and Protect’ team in 2020, where he cameoed as a member of the Southern District police force.
