It is unthinkable not to associate this actor’s face with that of Ted Mosby, the lovesick character he played for nine seasons. The big question is: will it really be like that?

Josh Radnor was born on July 29, 1974 in Ohio, United States, into a working-middle-class family. His father, Alan, is a medical malpractice attorney and his mother, Carol, is a high school counselor. He has two sisters, Melanie and Joanna. From a young age, Josh began to show his interest in acting by enrolling at Kenyon College, where he would graduate in performing arts in 1996. His next steps were at the Tisch School of Arts, where he completed a three-year master’s degree in acting. after.

His short but intense artistic career began in the year 2000 with a small appearance in the series Welcome to New York . Two years later she staged the Broadway adaptation of The Graduate . From 2002 to 2005, she appeared in individual episodes of series such as Law and Order , ER, Two Meters Underground , The Judge or Amy. But his recognition as an actor came in 2005 with the premiere of the hit series How I Met Your Mother .In it he plays Ted Mosby, a young New Yorker who tells his children, throughout nine seasons, all the stories and crazy things that led him to meet his future wife. The sitcom received numerous accolades, both from critics and from the general public, although in the end it ended up becoming a bit heavy and pigeonholed him in the role of a boy from romantic comedies. He even voiced Ted Mosby himself in a cameo on the animated series Family Guy . During the filming of the series, he met his partner for a year, Lindsay Price.

Josh is a young man who is passionate about his work, not only limited to acting but also directing. He has two romantic comedies to his credit in which he also stars: HappyThankYouMorePlease and  Love and Letters . His first film is about life, relationships, friendship and compassion. It is a good film that won the Audience Award for Best Film at Sundance. His second foray behind the camera takes place primarily at a university, in which he plays a former student-turned-professor who falls in love with a student. Like his predecessor, he was well received.

On the big screen we have seen very little of him. He has a cameo appearance in the teen comedy Not Another Stupid American Movie , where he plays a guide; in 2013 we saw him in Afternoon Pleasures , a film that won the Best Director Award at Sundance. It is about the monotony of life and the things that are done to end it.
