Joseph Brooks became known to the general public for the song “You Light Up Me Life”, which was a great success in the 70s, and which belonged to the soundtrack of the homonymous film, written, produced and directed by him. Born on March 11, 1938, Brooks began as an advertising composer, before making his film debut with the aforementioned film You Light Up Me Life in 1977.
