1. In the 2014 NBA draft, Washington Wizards selected Clarkson as the 46th overall pick. Wizards traded him to Los Angeles Lakers on the night.
2. In July 2016, he was re-signed by the Los Angeles Lakers to a $50 million contract spanning 4 years.
3. He was named by his parents after NBA legend Michael Jordan.
4. He’s a late bloomer and started playing for his school team in 7th or 8th grade. Until then he played mainly on the road and in the church league.
5. Jordan has done activism work for Rochester’s Sandra J. Schulze of the American Cancer Society and Hope Lodge also helped raise funds to improve facilities. His father received cancer treatment at the lodge.
