He has become quite a celebrity, especially in the United States, for the series “The Office”, and although John Krasinski is still taking off in the cinema, he has already played the odd role of great interest.
Born on October 20, 1979, in Brighton (Boston), John Burke Krasinski is the youngest of three children of a doctor and a nurse. Of Polish descent, he received a Catholic upbringing during his childhood, also marked by his fondness for baseball. In high school he met BJ Novak , who would later work with him on the series The Office , and who already wrote a play in which Krasinski starred. He graduated in Drama from Brown University.
He made his film debut with a minimal role (assistant judge) in David Mamet ‘s State and Main . But his big break came when he was cast as the sarcastic salesman Jim Halpet in The Office , which he took on the small screen.
She did not squander the opportunity to play small film roles in titles such as The Holiday , Kinsey and Dreamgirls . He was the lead in Till Death Do Us Part , where he was about to marry Mandy Moore , but the Reverend Frank – Robin Williams – put them through a difficult marriage preparation course. Right after, George Clooney cast her in a major role in his directorial film She’s the Game , where she was a young football star who sold out stadiums.
The renowned Sam Mendes – who had turned to him for a minor role in Jarhead – gave him the leading role in A Place to Stay , one of his best titles. He played Burt, a guy who, after discovering that her girlfriend is pregnant, decides to go with her to visit relatives and friends in different cities. He also did a good job as the boyfriend of Meryl Streep ‘s daughter in the comedy It’s Not That Easy .
Krasinski has a huge future ahead of him in the movies. At the moment he has come to direct a feature film, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men , about a young anthropologist who, after being abandoned by her boyfriend, is dedicated to interviewing various individuals to try to unravel the male mentality. In addition to being the best friend of the leading lady in the dispensable romantic comedy Something Borrowed , he stars in the new Muppet movie .
Although her love life has kept her hidden, romances with actresses Jenna Fischer and Rashida Jones had come to light . He subsequently began dating actress Emily Blunt , whom he married in an intimate ceremony on July 10, 2010.
