Known as the mother of English musician Louis Tomlinson, Johannah Deakin was a midwife and television assistant. She rose to fame after her son, Louis, became a member of the popular English boy band One Direction. She died aged 43 in 2016, shattering the English musician and most of his fans.
Early life and career of Johannah Deakin
Johannah Deakin was born Johannah Poulston on March 25, 1973 in Doncaster and grew up in Doncaster in South Yorkshire. She attended the local Doncaster school. Not much information about her early life and educational background of her has yet been revealed to the media.
Previously, she was in a relationship with Mark Tomlinson with whom she had four children, Charlotte , Felicity , and twins Phoebe and Margarita . However, the couple broke up in 2011. The same year, One Direction released their first single titled, What Makes You Beautiful .
Also, before she married her husband Mark Tomlinson, she was in a relationship with Troy Austin . The couple stayed together for about a decade during which they gave birth to the famous musician Louis Tomlinson. The duo broke up in 1997 when Louis was just 5 years old. After their separation, Johannah raised Louis and he officially took his stepfather’s last name.
Johannah Deakin died at age 43 on December 7, 2016 of leukemia. She breathed her last at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital. Her husband Deakin revealed that she asked him to share her farewell message with supporters of her son after her death in an emotional statement after her death.
Deakin took his late wife Johannah’s Twitter handle and wrote:
”Hi, I’m Dan. Johannah asked me to send this to her later. She wanted to thank you all and let you know that you’ve been amazing from the start.’
He added,
You changed Louis’s life, but also hers. Her support is now as strong, if not stronger, than ever. So from Johannah for the last time, thank you for everything.
The post received over 500k likes within an hour of being posted. Deakin’s sudden disappearance severely affected her family, especially her young children from her second marriage.
