Joeboy provides free bus rides to Lagos residents

Nigerian singer Joeboy, whose name is Joseph Akinwale, has touched the hearts of many through his recent act of philanthropy toward residents of Lagos state. In a heartwarming gesture, the artist offered free Danfo (bus shuttle) buses to the people of Lagos to alleviate the impact of increased transportation fares resulting from the removal of fuel subsidies.

On Tuesday, June 13, Joeboy took to his official social media accounts to share the exciting news. He posted a delightful video featuring the buses, which were beautifully adorned with the cover art from his newly released album, ‘Body and Soul.’

According to the talented singer, these buses will be available for complimentary rides between 8 am and 5 pm over the next three days. The routes covered include Iyana Oworo-Lekki/Jakande, Unilag Gate/Yaba, and Obanlende/Oshodi. Although it is not going to have a lasting effect, it however aims to serve as a relief initiative just for the time being to in a way help the majority of people transiting these routes.

Joeboy’s thoughtful initiative demonstrates his genuine concern for the well-being of Lagos residents, providing them with much-needed relief during this challenging time. Furthermore, with this initiative, other artists or rich persons can decide to assist or continue and emulate the kind gesture of this 26-year-old singer.
