And in the drama In Men’s Land he was one of Charlize Theron ‘s co-workers .
Director Kathryn Bigelow , who cast him in her war film The Hostile Land , has completely changed his life . There, he plays William James, a soldier incapable of feeling fear, in command of a team of specialists in deactivation of explosives. Renner instills great humanity in a soldier who can befriend a local boy, or put his life on the line to save a civilian who has been bombed.
After the Oscar nomination for this work, a new stage opens for Renner. At the moment, it is rumored that he could play Hawkeye, one of the protagonists of the superhero film Marvel The Avengers .
