Jemele Hill is an American journalist who worked for almost twelve years for the ESPN network. She had worked as a sports conglomerate and also wrote a column for ESPN.com’s Page 2. In addition, as a writer, she writes a column for “The Atlantic” magazines.

The famous journalist was born on December 21, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. She was born as Jemele Juanita Hill to parents whose identities are not available in the media. As a child, she moved her mother to Houston and later returned to Detroit. Other than that, she has not revealed much information about her childhood days and siblings.
Regarding her education, she had completed her high school education from Mumford High School in 1993. Then, later in 1997, she completed her education from Michigan State University.

After graduation, she began her career as a sports editor for the “Raleigh News & Observer”. Subsequently, she was also a sports editor for the Detroit Free Press (1999-2005) and a columnist for the Orlando Sentinel (2005-06). Then in 2006, ESPN hired her as a national columnist on ESPN.com.
In 2012, she served as a sideline reporter during the 2012 college football season on Friday Nights with Carter Blackburn and Rod Gilmore. The journalist started her “His & Her” podcast with her co-host Michael Smith. Their partnership popularity led ESPN to add him to Smith’s ESPN2 show “Numbers Never Lie” in 2013. Hill began anchoring ESPN’s flagship show “SportsCenter” at 6 p.m. with Smith on February 6, 2017.
ESPN announced on January 25, 2018 that Jill would perform her final episode of SC6 on February 2, 2018. Afterwards, she will begin her new role on the company’s website ‘The Undefeated’ which covers the intersections of sports. Following this, on October 1, she will join leading magazine ‘The Atlantic’ as an editor.

The reporter not only acknowledged his posts, but also his good outspokenness. She is also well known for one of the people who would like to voice their opinion without thinking about the consequences. She was individually suspended for her controversial comments.
During the 2008 NBA playoffs, she was suspended for referencing Adolf Hilter in an article. On October 9, 2017, ESPN suspended Hill for two weeks after speaking out against the company’s “Second Violation of Our Social Media Guidelines.” Before that, in September 2017, she was attacked by the US government as well as Secretary Sanders for calling President Trump a “white supremacist”.
