Jeffery Dean Morgan is an American nationality actor known for playing Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy, John Winchester on Supernatural, Evans on Magic City and is set to appear as Negan on AMC’s The Walking Dead. He is known for several of his television and film roles.
Early life and career of Jeffery Dean Morgan
Morgan was born to father Richard Dean Morgan and mother Sandy Thomas on April 22, 1966. Born in Seattle, Washington, he attended Ben Franklin Elementary School as a child. He also attended Rose Hill Junior High and Lake Washington High School.
His acting career began with the 1991 film Uncaged and he has since appeared in 25 feature films. He appeared as Dr. Edward Marcase on the television series The Burning Zone in 1996-1997.
Beginning in 2005 and 2006, Morgan appeared on the television series Supernatural as John Winchester and as Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy and as Judah Botwin. Since then he has appeared in other series such as Monk, ER, JAG, The OC, Texas Ranger, Sliders, Angel and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The film is a version of Cecelia Ahern’s book, PS I Love You also cast Morgan, after which she acted in the film The Accidental Husband. She starred in the 2008 thriller The Resident and the drama Days of Wrath, after which she appeared in Watchmen and Taking Woodstock in 2009.
His other appearances include acting in Texas Killing Fields, Magic City, The Possession, Red Dawn before being cast as Joe DiMaggio in Marilyn. Texas Rising starred him as Deaf Smith and has been cast as a regular on the CBS drama Extant. The Good Wife portrays him as a freelance investigator and is set to play Negan in AMC’s The Walking Dead TV series.
