JC Monahan is an American newscaster. She currently works as a news anchor for NBC affiliate WBTS in Boston, which she joined in June 2017 after working for WCVB-TV as a reporter and anchor for 15 years. She is a former weekend forecaster and entertainment reporter for WPXT-TV in Portland, Maine.

American news anchor JC Monahan was born in the United States of America. Monahan is a national of the United States, and as far as his ethnicity is concerned, Monahan is a white American. He grew up in Newton, Massachusetts along with his family.
Monahan completed his BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maine in 1994. After graduation, he went on to study the Broadcast Meteorology program at Mississippi State University.
JC Monahan’s professional career
JC Monahan began his journalism career with WZON in Bangor, Maine as a news director. Thereafter, he moved south and began working for WPXT-TV in Portland, Maine as a weekend forecaster and entertainment reporter.
After that, Monahan also worked as a weekend meteorologist for NECN . On April 8, 2013, Monahan announced that he would be changing his weather position at WCVB to join the Chronicle as a permanent co-anchor.
Monahan was replaced by former WFXT meteorologist, Cindy Fitzgibbon in the weather department. Fitzgibbon joined WCVB in April 2013. Fitzgibbon began her tenure at NewsCenter 5, EyeOpener on May 20, 2012, and Monahan went on to forecast NewsCenter 5 Noon .
On February 19, 2017, WCVB announced that Monahan would be leaving the network and that his contract would not be renewed. In June 2017, she started working for WBTS as a news anchor.

A former versatile journalist and host for WCVB-TV, JC Monahan is a married woman. She has been married to her husband, Jim Farrell for a long time. The couple also have two children. They welcome their first child, Catherine Farrell, on October 18, 2006.
Monahan gave birth to a second girl named Victoria Rose on March 28, 2012. Catherine is currently studying at the primary level. The couple lives happily with their two daughters.
