The musician was born on August 17, 1991 as Jeremy Brian Griffis in Orlando, Florida, United States. There is no information provided about his parents and siblings on the net. However, his mother is believed to have always been supportive and caring for him and his career, growing up with his family in Phoenix, Arizona. He has an American nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity.

He has kept secret about sharing his degrees or institutional names. However, he began to take an interest in music at an early age. From his high school years, he started performing as a guitarist and joined the American electronic music group Blood on the Dance Floor in 2009 with its only member Dahvie Vanity.
