Born in 1983, Javier Cantero Olmedilla is the son of El Fary, the legendary singer. According to his account in his biography, they realized his talent for singing when he was just a child, although he always kept his talent hidden.
It was his mother who heard him sing hidden behind the door of his room one day, something that his father also had to do to realize the hidden talent of his offspring. To finish verifying it, they decided to set him up with a guitarist, a test that he passed with flying colors.
After seeing what he was capable of, Fary decided to speak with Paco Ortega to prepare Javi’s first album, which was published with his own name as the title. That work would go on sale in 2001 and contained a song to remember as it was ‘And the more I accelerate’.

«My father kept his taxi driver’s license for what could happen and we continue to keep it. He said: ‘You never know if you have to go back to the donut’ », he commented to Diez Minutos magazine in 2020.
