Jason Kennedy was born on December 11, 1981 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA. He was raised in his hometown of Lauderdale with his parents. As a child, he discovered his love for television news and spent countless hours chasing local news trucks and taking cabs to breaking news scenes for a mock news show
The studio was equipped with 20 televisions, four cameras, a news desk, and an editing station. Following her graduation from Westminster Academy, she attended the University of Miami and won several awards, including the Associated Press Award for Best News Feature Film in the state of Florida.
