Jason Gedrick is an American actor of Polish descent. He has starred in many movies and television shows. Starting out as an extra, he soon rose through the ranks, going on to star in shows like Murder One and Growing Fast City as well as in the film Iron Eagle .

Jason Gedrick was born Jason Michael Gedroico at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois on February 7, 1965. He is the third of three children. His older brother is Joel and his older sister is Dawne. His parents, both of Polish descent, separated when Jason was just eight years old. Jason stayed with his mother while his older siblings lived with his father.
Jason graduated from his alma mater, Gordon Technical School, Chicago in 1982 and enrolled in the business program at Drake University, Iowa to appease his parents. Gedrick dropped out his freshman year to pursue his true passion in acting.
Jason started out as an extra, but soon established himself as a leading man.
Jason began his career as an extra in the 1983 crime drama film, Bad Boys and the 1983 Tom Cruise-comedy-drama Risky Business . However, his looks and charisma led him to be cast in important roles soon.
He gained prominence in the 1985 romantic comedy The Heavenly Child and the following year, landed the lead role in the military action film Iron Eagle . Unfortunately, Gedrick and Lavas’ marriage did not last and they divorced in 1997 after eight years together.
