Jason David Frank, known for playing one of the original Power Rangers, passed away on November 19, 2022, in Texas (USA) at the age of 49. Some media suggested that the interpreter has taken his own life. “We ask that the privacy of his family and friends be respected during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of a wonderful human being,” his representative, Justine Hunt, said. “He loved his family, friends and fans very much. We will miss him terribly.”

Born in Covina, California, on September 4, 1973,  Jason David Frank studied different styles of martial arts. He began his acting journey with the long forgotten series VR Troopers .

Popularity came to him in 1993, when he began playing Tommy Oliver, the green power ranger, in the Power Rangers series. He had three seasons and was all the rage among the youngest viewers. He reprized the role of him in TV sequels and in  1994’s Power Rangers Movie.

Subsequently, Jason David Frank appeared in small roles in series such as Household Matters or The Sweet Valley Twins .

Divorced from Shawna Frank, with whom he had three children, he joined Tammie, mother of his fourth and last child. Jason David Frank also succeeded as an entrepreneur, opening his own martial arts dojo. He created his own martial arts system, “Toso Kune Do”, which means “Way of the Power Fist” and incorporates many different aspects of martial arts.
