January Jones
She is so beautiful that it is not surprising that men lose their sanity for her. It has been difficult for her to make a name for herself in the acting world, but the television series “Mad Men” has allowed her to do so. Now she is raining job offers.
January Kristen Jones was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on January 5, 1978, which did not prevent her from spending her early childhood in a small town of 400 inhabitants with freediving. After graduating from the Roosevelt High School in her hometown, and working as a cashier at the Dairy Queen restaurant chain, she went to New York pursuing the dream of leaving a provincial life and becoming a model, something she hoped would help her radiant beauty. Since her father was a gym teacher, Jones was in enviable physical shape. And yes, she did get jobs as a model, for example for the fashion multinational Abercrombie & Fitch.
The television spots must have made him think that acting couldn’t be that difficult. It is curious, in this regard, that many years later he achieved absolute triumph on the small screen with a series about the world of advertising, Mad Men. But we should not anticipate events.
Because fame costs, and Jones started from the bottom, with roles in television pilots. In 1999 he had his first, decidedly minor, film role in Fates Crossing , which also starred veterans Joan Allen and Jeff Daniels . Nor was his contribution memorable in 2001 to the thriller Last Suspicion , but he did have a greater presence in Bandits (2001) , Barry Levinson ‘s action comedy , with Bruce Willis and Cate Blanchett . Steven Soderbergh would count on her for one of her “martians”, Full Frontal (2002).
Someone must have thought that Jones was funny as well as pretty, so she joined Aggressive Executive (2003), with the legendary Jack Nicholson , and a sequel to the saga of coarse salt, American Pie. What a wedding (2003). And from sequel to sequel, she went on to Dirty Dancing 2 (2004). Fleeting, very fleeting, was the intervention of the actress in Love Actually (2003).
Without a doubt, Jones’ first film worthy of being defined as a prestigious title is The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005). This kind of fable about life and death had Tommy Lee Jones behind the camera and as the protagonist , and his screenplay by Guillermo Arriaga won an award at Cannes. Jones’ status rose with his character, wife of Barry Pepper , as it allowed him to have a semi-leading role in the mediocre Swedish Auto (2006) and intervene in the sports film Team Marshall (2006).
Until men went crazy for her. January Jones landed the important role of Betty. wife of Don Drapper ( Jon Hamm ) on AMC’s hit series Mad Men , a caustic look at the early 1960s through a male-dominated advertising company. The actress has been in the 4 seasons of the series, and promises to have a presence in the fifth season.
It is clear that the small screen has absorbed the work of the actress in recent years, but she has still had time to be directed by the Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra in the thriller Sin identidad , where her charming character as a happily married wife turns out to be more disturbing than it seemed. Soon we will see her in the role of Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class . She will also premiere soon, along with Nicolas Cage , The Hungry Rabbit Jumps .
Regarding her romantic relationships, it must be said that January was dating Ashton Kutcher , and later with the singer Josh Groban and the showman Jason Sudeikis . She was not known to be a partner at present, so she was surprised by the announcement that January is pregnant, expecting her first child. It is therefore unknown who the father of the child is.
