From reality to TV, from TV to movies. Her exotic beauty and her sympathy could be a good foundation to build an acting career, or at least that’s what Jamie Chung believes, who works like a little ant to open a gap in the cinema.
Jamie Jilynn Chung was born on April 10, 1983 in San Francisco, California, United States. Obviously her last name and her features are oriental, and it is that the roots of the actress are in Korea, she belongs to the second generation of the family raised in the USA. Jamie studied in Riverside, at the University of California. She there she was in one of those fraternities that she maybe prepared her for what she would come after her in her life.
Her acting career came hand in hand with her appearance in a veteran MTV reality show, “The Real World: San Diego”, a kind of “Big Brother” that followed several strange people who had to live under the same roof. Jamie herself was described in 2004, when she was on the show, as a born worker, working two jobs, and she liked to party. Apparently, she was one of the winners of the competition.
Likeable, with a charming smile, and undoubtedly exotic beauty, she thought she should try to be an actress. The first thing about her was to appear in a television series in 2006 and 2007, individual episodes ofVeronica Mars ,emergencies ,CSI: NY , until having a continued minor presence, ten chapters, in Days of Our Lives . This led him to become the protagonist of his own series, Samurai Girl (2008), with the only ‘small’ problem that it was not successful, only six episodes were made.
In cinema he debuted in 2007 with a seen and unseen role inI pronounce you husband and husband . He must have liked Adam Sandler , as he requested it in 2010 forBig kids , where he didn’t have much of a presence either.
The truth is that Jamie Chung is a pleasant presence, who has not yet had a role worthy of the name, but whose exoticism, beauty and good shape have served to be in Zack Snyder ‘s fantasy. Sucker Punch , and to be the girlfriend ofHangover 2, now in Thailand! . While he awaits his opportunity to shine with his own light, he continues to make sporadic episodes on TV and tv-movies –Grey’s Anatomy ,Castle ,Princess Protection Program – and try out alongside great actors like Russell Crowe , with whom he just filmed The Man with the Iron Fists . Perhaps 2012 will be his year, as he will be in the action thriller No Brakes alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt , an actor who usually gets what he shoots right.
