James Morrison Biography

James Morrison Catchpole (born August 14, 1984) is an English singer-songwriter, best known for rising to fame with his debut single titled You Give Me Something. Morrison has become a very popular name in the music fraternity which makes fans of him constantly looking for the details about his biography and career history. His debut album called Undiscovered has managed to reach the top position on the UK Albums Chart.

Morrison was born in Rugby, Warwickshire and was influenced by music through his uncle. He attended Treviglas Community College for his singing abilities and attributes his voice to a bout of whooping cough he suffered as a child. He suffered a poverty-stricken childhood and has managed to become an internationally known celebrity through his efforts in the field of music. He initially covered other singers’ songs and eventually started writing his own songs which became very popular. His debut single called You Give Me Something reached the second position in the Netherlands. His debut album was called Undiscovered and it managed to reach the top position in the UK album charts. He became the best selling artist in the UK in 2006 when 1 million copies were sold.
