- He used the money he received from friends and family for high school graduation to fondle for his wrestling lessons. He was trained by former ECW star Axl Rotten.
- He is a licensed wrestling promoter in Maryland and Pennsylvania and has been promoting Adrenaline Championship Wrestling with around 20 shows a year since 2013.
- Ellsworth’s first appearance in WWE was as one of the Adam Rose Rosebuds. He himself preferred to dress up as a hamburger for that time.
- James got his first singles match after impressing Arn Anderson at a backstage practice. After seeing him fight a fellow jobber, Anderson pitted James against Braun Strowman in a practice session before giving him his first chance.
- James Ellsworth drew attention to WWE by submitting his resume along with his wrestling videos to the official World Wrestling Entertainment website WWE.com.
