The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stirred up conversation online after responding to a candidate’s tweet about possibly scoring below 200 in the 2025 UTME.

After JAMB revealed that 1.5 million candidates scored below 200, a user named Expensive on X (formerly Twitter) vented his frustration: “If my score no pass 200, God go punish una 💯.”

JAMB’s reply was quick and blunt: “Mind your language.”

The exchange has drawn a variety of responses from social media users. Sarah Ese commented, “This one can’t be a student. What student would insult their helper? Even if they don’t fear grace, they should fear disgrace 😂.”

Segun Akinola speculated, “That JAMB handler is probably over 55 and likely a woman. She can’t imagine someone, maybe her grandson’s age, being so disrespectful. People from her generation value respect 🤩.”

Angela added, “This generation, honestly. How can a student send JAMB such a message? That’s just failure!”

Empressive pointed out, “The JAMB handler can’t even spell ‘Expensive’ correctly. How can they be trusted with scores?”
