Jaime Comas Gil

Born in Terrassa (Barcelona) in 1936, Jaime Comas Gil studied at the Official School of Journalism in Barcelona. Upon leaving, he worked at “El Noticiero Universal” and as a film critic at Radio Barcelona, Cadena SER and “Fotogramas”. For a while, he worked in film advertising at the production companies Este Films and Pefsa.
In 1964, Jaume Comas left for Madrid. hired by Joan Subirana, from Ocean Films. to dedicate himself to production and co-write scripts for co-productions, almost all with Italy. He collaborates on the scripts for El espontáneo,Malaysian pirates and For a Fistful of Dollars , the best-known title in his filmography, which starred Clint Eastwood .
In 1968, Jaime Comas Gil founded the company Arcos Films, with which he produced La que arman las mujeres . He later started, in 1973, the company Alas Films, with which he participated in They Called Him Robin Hood , Cabo Blanco and in La iguana , by Monte Hellman . In 1998, Jaume Comas created the distribution company New World Films Internacional.
