Iyabo Ojo Slams Lagos State Government Over "Outrageous" Tax Bill

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has slammed the Lagos State Government over an “outrageous” tax bill she received.

Iyabo Ojo, who is a popular actress and businesswoman, took to social media to express her anger at the Lagos State Government’s outrageous bill, which she said was for N10 million. “I am a law-abiding citizen and I pay my taxes, but this is ridiculous,” she said. “I cannot afford to pay N10 million in taxes. This is just too much.”

Ojo’s tax bill is just one example of the rising cost of living in Lagos, which has been dubbed the “most expensive city in Africa.” In recent years, the Lagos State Government has increased taxes on a number of goods and services, including property, water, and electricity.

The government has said that the tax increases are necessary to fund infrastructure projects and improve the quality of life for residents. However, critics have argued that the tax increases are unfair and are putting a strain on the finances of many residents.

Iyabo Ojo’s case is likely to raise awareness of the issue of taxation in Lagos and could lead to further protests and calls for a review of the tax system.

You will recall that Iyabo Ojo a few weeks ago took to social media to share her story in the hope that it would help others who are struggling with the same condition.

“I have been battling depression for a while now,” she said. “It has been a very difficult journey, but I am slowly starting to get better.”

Iyabo Ojo said that she first started to experience symptoms of depression after her divorce. She said that she felt “empty” and “worthless” and that she had no motivation to do anything.

“I felt like I was in a dark hole and I couldn’t get out,” she said. “I didn’t want to talk to anyone or do anything. I just wanted to sleep all day.”

Ojo said that she eventually sought professional help and that she is now on medication and seeing a therapist. She said that she is still struggling, but that she is hopeful for the future.

“I know that I am not alone in this,” she said. “There are many people who are struggling with depression. I want to let them know that they are not alone and that there is hope.”
