Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has revealed she was recently invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over activities at her daughter’s high-profile wedding to Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.

Sharing her experience in an Instagram post, the actress said the EFCC reached out to her while she was in the UK. On returning to Nigeria, she honoured the invitation.

According to her, during the meeting, she was shown a video of guests spraying naira notes at the event — an act the Commission deemed illegal. “They asked me if I was aware of the money spraying that happened,” she wrote.

Iyabo added that the EFCC explained that spraying money, especially on people, is against the law in Nigeria and issued a caution against such acts moving forward.

The actress used the opportunity to advise her fans and fellow celebrities to be mindful of such practices at public functions to avoid running into trouble with the law.
