The Daily Independent made a report on the 11th of April alleging that the United States government placed the minister on a watchlist for alleged links with Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram.
The Minister however debunked the allegations noting that he has been preaching against Boko Haram and other terrorist organization for over 15 years.
The minister debunked the allegations on Twitter via a thread on his Twitter handle.

The Minister however ended the thread by saying no amount of intimation will stop him from implementing the good policies of President Muhammadu Buhari.
