Isabel Torres, who became famous for starring in the television series “Veneno”, has died due to lung cancer.

As the family has explained through the Instagram account of Isabel Torres herself, “today we say goodbye to Isabel. Although her family and friends are deeply sorry for her loss, we know that wherever she goes she will have fun like only she knows how. Thank you for all the expressions of affection and concern. She has left feeling very loved and covered ”.

Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1969, she was one of the best-known transsexuals for succeeding in show business. On Canarian Television, she stood out in programs such as “De todo corazón”, “Mogóllele”, “Double game” and “Nos vamos a la playa”. She also had a presence on the small screen in “Channel Nº 4”, “El programa de Ana Rosa” or “DEC”.

The opportunity to show his interpretive qualities was given to him by the Veneno series , created by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, where she gave life to the adult protagonist, the authentic character of Cristina “La Veneno”, and which earned her the Ondas 2020 award. That year she announced that she had lung cancer with bone metastases, which she had learned about during filming of the series, and tried to bear the disease with integrity, which is why she was named ambassador of the Canary Islands Lung Cancer Group. In an appearance on “Saturday DeLuxe” she assured that “without realizing it, I have made a battle out of my life. A battle that I don’t know if it will end soon or a little later. What is clear to me is that I am not going to stop fighting until the last moment”. She also declared that “I need to say goodbye to many people and I need to ask others for forgiveness.”
