Iqbal Daliwal (born 1971) is an Indian-born American Global CEO, Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer from Amritsar, Punjab. He is well recognized as the spouse of Gita Gopinath. She is also an Indian-born American Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund.
In addition, Gita is also the John Zwaanstra Professor of International Studies and Economics at Harvard University. In October 2018, Gopinath became chief economist at the International Monetary Fund.
On the other hand, Gita Gopinath’s wife, Dhaliwal, works as the global CEO of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). It is co-founded by Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo, who both went on to win the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics. He even serves on the Board of Directors to develop the organization’s strategic vision.
