Innocent Nigerians die, leaders merry__ Senator Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, the former Senator who was representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the upper legislative chamber in 2015, has condemned the killing of 15 innocent residents of the Mabushi community, in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

You will recall that a few suspected bandits invaded the community on Saturday night, killed 15, while scores of residents fled their homes.

However, the bandits, upon noticing the presence of troops, ran into the bush.

More so, Senator Shehu Sani on his verified Facebook wall, while condemning the attack, said it’s sad that the perpetrators of the systemic atrocities continue to operate beyond the reach of the law.

He said, “The cold-blooded slaughter of fourteen people and the burning of houses at Mado community, Mabushi in Zangon Kataf LG, Kaduna State by terrorists yesternight stands unreservedly condemned.

“It’s sad that the perpetrators of these systemic atrocities continue to operate beyond the reach of the law.

“The corpses of the innocent litter our land on a daily basis while the leaders merry.”

Meanwhile, in another news, the Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, says he is determined to collaborate with the National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons to resettle all IDPs in the state.

The Director-General, Media, Public Enlightenment and Communications to the governor, Alhaji Yusuf Idris, made the disclosure in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Gusau on Sunday.

According to the statement, the governor stated this while hosting the National Commissioner for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Hajiya Iman Suleiman, who paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Gusau.

Matawalle said his administration will continue to support vulnerable people and will not relent in its efforts to improve their living standard of persons despite the security challenges facing the state and the nation in general.

He assured them that he will collaborate with the commission to resettle all the affected communities in the state to appropriate places through the state Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.

He added that the humanitarian activities of his administration are designed to cater for the internally displaced persons who are affected by the activities of bandits in the state.
