Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma reshuffles cabinet, sacks 20 comissioners

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has sacked 20 commissioners in the state.

There had earlier been indications that Governor Uzodimma may shake up his Cabinet and inject new blood in the system.

There had been palpitation amongst some apointees especially commissioners who have not been doing well.

It was gathered that the Governor is not happy with the performance of some of his appointees.

The political activities  have exposed most of the double Agent politicians in Uzodimma’s Government working as government appointees.

Already the governor has swung into action by appointing new Commissioners.

The Governor want more serious politicians to be given portfolio, as reported by Trumpeta. The 305 Liaison officers appointed recently will report directly to the Political Bureau office. The officials of the 58 development centres in Imo State are also on ground to bring governance to the grassroot as directed by the governor.

Announcing the resshuffling ,was the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, shortly after the state executive council meeting in Owerri, the state capital on Wednesday.

The commissioner said the reason for the dissolution was to rejig the activities of the state government after one year in office.

He added that out of the 28 commissioners, only eight commissioners were left to carry on with their activities.

The commissioners are Health, Information, Tourism, Women Affairs, Works, Finance, Youths and the Ministry of Technology.
