Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has reignited a political firestorm by declaring she has solid evidence to back her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

During her appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Thursday, the embattled lawmaker didn’t mince words, reaffirming her accusations and hinting that explosive revelations are on the horizon.

“At the right time and in the right place, I will present the evidence that I have,” she stated, maintaining confidence in her claims.

Her remarks come on the heels of her controversial six-month suspension from the Senate—a move she believes was a calculated attempt to silence her. Akpoti-Uduaghan has consistently accused Akpabio of political persecution following her refusal to yield to what she described as his inappropriate advances.

In a related twist, the senator expressed satisfaction with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after the electoral body threw out a petition aimed at recalling her from office. Although she labeled the decision “belated,” she welcomed it as a victory for justice and a win for the people of Kogi Central.

The coming days may reveal more, as Nigerians watch closely to see whether Akpoti-Uduaghan will follow through with her promise to unveil damning proof.
