Ice Prince was born as Panshak Henry Zaman on the 30th of October 1984. He attended St. Murumba College and the Science Tutorial Niger State College in Jos. He also attended the University of Jos to study zoology but could stop due to financial constraints.

Ice prince has had an interest in music since he was a child, he, however, began writing rap songs and performing them at school in 1999. In 2002, he and some friends formed the “ECOMOG Squad” but split after a year. In 2004, he connected with M.I, Jesse Jagz, Ruby, Lindsey, Eve, and Taz,  to form the “Loopy Crew”.

Ice Prince joined Chocolate City in 2008, alongside M.I, Jesse Jagz, and others. He released his debut single, “Oleku” in 2010. The song was met with great reception throughout Nigeria, growing to be one of Nigeria’s most remixed songs of all time.  He released his debut studio album “Everybody Loves Ice Prince”  in the same year. It was supported by three singles: “Oleku”, “Superstar” and “Juju”.

In 2013, Ice Prince released “Fire of Zamani” as his second studio album. The album contained the singles “Aboki”, “More”, “Gimme Dat” and “I Swear”.  His third studio album, “Jos To The World” was released in 2016, marking his first independent album outside the Chocolate City record label.

Aside from his three studio albums, Ice Prince also has two extended plays in his discography: Trash Can in 2015
C.O.L.D in 2018. He also has a collaborative album with Chocolate city in 2015 titled The Indestructible Choc Boi Nation.

Ice prince is no doubt one of the most successful rappers in the country, with multiple local and international awards to his name. In July 2015, he was announced as the vice president of Chocolate City. He held the position until he left the label in 2016. He won the 2009 Hennessy Artistry Club Tour.

In 2011, He won the Eko FM/ Radio Lagos Awards for the Young Artist of the Year and the City People Entertainment Awards for the Song of the Year.  He also the Nigeria Entertainment Awards for the Hottest Single of the Year and the Dynamix All Youth Awards for Best New Artists.

Due to the enormous of Oleku, Ice prince’s debut single, he won the Channel O Music Video Awards for the Most Gifted Newcomer Video, The Best Rap Single and the Song of the Year at the 2011 Headies Award. He won the Ghana Music award as the African Artist of the year and the Best Rap Album at the  Headies Award in 2011.

One of the most notable moments in Ice Prince’s Career, was when he won the Best International Act: Africa at the  2013 BET Award, making him the first African artist to win the award as a solo act. In the same year, he won the Best Hip-Hop Artiste of the year at the City People Entertainment Awards and the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

In 2017, He signed an endorsement deal worth Millions of Naira, with international Cognac brand D’USSE, serving as the company’s Brand ambassador while it was trying to establish its presence in the country.

The rapper, who had previously enjoyed a juicy endorsement deal with telecommunication company, Etisalat. He also signed an endorsement deal with the hotel booking site, Jovago.com in 2014. He has other endorsement deals with Adidas, Chow Mein Restuarant, MA The Jewellery, and many more brands.
