Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has publicly demanded support from 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, insisting that the politician should promote his upcoming album, The Machine Is Coming.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle on April 3, the Abuja-born artist expressed frustration over Obi’s silence despite the intense support he had given him during the last general elections.

Odumodu reminded Obi of his loyalty, claiming he put in “sweat and blood” to back his presidential bid and now expects the same energy in return.

Odumodu Confronts Obi Directly

In his first post, the rapper called out Obi, urging him to publicly endorse his album:

@PeterObi hello Mr. Peter Obi. I supported you that year. Oya support me now. Do a video and say The Machine is Coming. Abeg. We’ve never had issues before—make e no start now.”

Moments later, he intensified his demands, warning that if Obi couldn’t even make a simple tweet about his project, their relationship would be over:

The time wey I support Peter Obi na with sweat and blood. If he cannot give me a ‘common’ tweet, then me and am go fight. I no dey hide my mouth.”

Odumodublvck, a strong advocate for Obi in 2023, had openly opposed President Bola Tinubu’s administration and even declined an invitation to perform at Tinubu’s inauguration. Now, he reminds Obi of that sacrifice:

I even dissed Tinubu for you. Now because of you, people are spitting on me and my legacy. Tweet The Machine is Coming to rekindle and redeem our friendship, sir.”

Fans React as Obi Stays Silent

As of now, Peter Obi has not responded to the rapper’s demands. Meanwhile, fans have shared mixed reactions, with some criticizing Odumodu for trying to pressure the politician into supporting his personal project.

One fan commented:

“I know you need traffic for your new song, but don’t ever try to use Peter Obi for clout.”

Another wrote:

“So your political alignment is not based on conviction but ‘you do for me, I do for you’?”
