Hugh Dane
Hugh Dane, who played security guard Hank on “The Office,” passed away at age 75 on May 16, 2018. “He was one of the greats, so kind, so funny, so talented,” says Rainn Wilson, the despicable Dwight in the series, who has released the sad news.
Born on October 21, 1942, Hugh Dane ‘s acting vocation came late. When he was 47 years old, he gave the voice to one of the characters in the video game “It Came from The Desert”. Occasional roles followed in the film Ricochet , where he was a prison guard, and in numerous series such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or Friends .
But audiences will remember him as Hank, a vigilante on The Office , who appeared in 22 episodes. In My Best Friend’s Wedding it gave rise to a misunderstanding with Kristen Wiig ‘s character . More information about her personal life is unknown.
