In her workouts, he incorporates Muscle’s activation technique, which optimizes muscle contraction to improve range of motion and ensure better stability. He also changes her exercise routine according to the daily assessment of her range of motion.
When lifting weights, the focus is on strengthening the calf and quadriceps muscles. She doesn’t lift too much weight but makes sure the intensity of the exercises is high. The reverse box jumps are one of the most common exercises in their workouts. Hope also relies on circuit training, which includes resistance band exercises and other exercises.When away from the US team and her club, she relies on old-school jump rope training to keep her body in tip-top shape.

- She may have become an elite goaltender, but she was a star forward in her high school days. In high school, she managed to score around 109 goals and was twice selected as a Parade All-American.
- When she was 7 years old, she was kidnapped by her father along with his brother. He had chosen without informing her mother and taken her on a trip to Seattle.
- In 2007, she fell out with US teammate Abby Wambach, as Hope suggested Wambach had asked the coach to drop her from the World Cup semi-final game. Wambach, meanwhile, was annoyed by Hope’s vocal criticism of coach Greg Ryan after the game.
- After her outburst against Greg Ryan, she was completely hidden from her teammates. She had to eat her meals alone and as soon as the players exited the elevator, she entered.
- She skipped her graduation because she was playing for her new football club, the Philadelphia Charge, who selected her in the first round of the 2003 WUSA Draft.
- In her freshman year, she feared her career was over after her forearm caught on a hook in the goalpost, tearing her arm open. Luckily there was no nerve damage.
- She allegedly hit a girl her first boyfriend dated while he was with her.
- When she was growing up, her mother had told her that she might have to stop playing soccer as it was too expensive for her. Eventually, parishioners stepped in to help pay for their travel expenses.
- After her team’s loss to Sweden in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Olympics, she called her opponents cowards for defensive tactics. The US Football Association canceled her contract and suspended her for six months for indiscipline.

- In 2010, she was at the center of two Twitter-related controversies. First, she claimed that Boston Breakers fans indulged in racist chants. She then blamed the referees and questioned the integrity of the league, resulting in a suspension from the game.
- In June 2014, she was arrested for assaulting her half-sister and nephew. She claimed she was only defending herself. The case was later dismissed for lack of cooperation from the victims.
- She has worked as a representative for the Women’s Sports Foundation, which works to empower women and girls through sport and other physical activities.
