HIJAB CONTROVERSY: Students appeals for resumption of schools in Kwara

Following the continue crisis that has bedevilled the state, the affected students of the 10 secondary schools as called on both warring parties to solve peddlers.

Moreso, the students lamented the likely impact of the prevalent situation on their educational future. They added that it will affect their relationship with one another.

Painfully, they stressed that their preparation for the WAEC examination has already been affected.

This is just as educational activities are yet to fully commence in most of the affected schools despite the directive of the state government to resume classes, on Wednesday, after about a month of closure, as some churches have refused to reopen the schools.

Recall that we earlier reported that the Christian community in Ilorin has vowed to continue their protest against the use of hijab by Muslim girls. This, however, until the demands presented to the State government are realised.

The situation at Baptist School, Surulere, Ilorin, where crisis broke out two days ago was, however, peaceful as teachers gathered in groups inside the school.

It was gathered that students, especially, the female Muslim students on the hijab, later attended classes in the school, on Friday.
