Hiba Tawaji  is a Lebanese singer, actress, and director. A true coloratura soprano, she was born on December 10, 1987. Trilingual, she sings in Arabic, French and English and is at ease in opera, oriental pop or jazz. Noticed by producer and composer Oussama Rahbani.  Already known in Lebanon and in the Arab world, she took part in the fourth season of the French version of  The Voice in 2015 . Finishing semi-finalist of the show, she then participates in  The Voice Tour  in France and Lebanon. In 2015, and after  The Voice , she signed a contract with Mercury Records. In May 2016, the producers of the French musical  Notre-Dame de Paris announce that Hiba Tawaji is taking over the role of Esméralda, succeeding Hélène Ségara in the role of the famous gypsy.

Little known facts

Hiba directed a short film named  The Rope  (La Corde), which won several awards in Lebanon (Beirut International Award Festival 2012) and in Arab countries in specialized categories. She also won the trophy for best Lebanese director at the “Out Box” international festival for short films in 2013.
