Heather Mills is a British media personality, businesswoman, charity activist and activist best known as a successful model with a prosthetic limb in place of an amputated left leg below the knee. She rose to public prominence in 2000 when she began dating Sir Paul McCartney, the lead singer and bassist for the world-famous rock band The Beatles . The two dated for 7 years from 1999 to 2006, however, it was still 2 years before the divorce was finalized. Heather is also known as an anti-war, anti-landmine, adversity and animal rights promoter and advocate, and a huge promoter of the vegan lifestyle.
On July 4th 2009 she started her own vegan restaurant called Vbites In Hove Lagoon, Hove, Sussex, England, UK and later in the year bought a company called Redwood Foods and turned it into a company called Vbites Foods Corby, Northamptonshire. She then began selling meat-free products under the brands VegiDeli , Cheezly , Cheatin , and Wot No Dairy . Aside from being vegan for around 25 years, which she has stated on several occasions, Heather has always strived to prove that plant-based people are only strong and athletic and can meet daily nutritional needs over the long term. Heather is a regular at the gym, which is evident from her ripped, athletic physique.
Heather has shared several workouts with her social media followers, one of which was a 200kg leg press that was really impressive. She also shrugs and trapeze in heavyweight and does yoga in either the early morning or late afternoon.
She took an interest in skiing from an early age and broke three world records in 2013. In 2015 she was ranked as the “fastest disabled woman on the planet” with a world record of 166.84 km/h in speed skiing.

- Her father John, nicknamed “Mark”, played guitar and banjo, won an Evening Standard Award in photography and was a great animal lover.
- Heather claimed they’ve always had either a dog or a cat, and even a goose and white goat, who spent a lot of time at home.
- Her mother left home when she was 9 years old. This forced her and her siblings to steal food and clothing because their father could not or would not support them.
- Heather claimed her father was very violent and abusive towards her and her adult siblings. In return, he released home videos to show that they were very happy under his wing.
- She left home at the age of 14 and sold three stores when she was 20. Heather reportedly lived in a cardboard box under Waterloo Station in London, England for 4 months.
- On August 8, 1993, Heather and her fiancee were on the corner of De Vere Gardens and Kensington Road in London, England, when a police convoy passed and she was struck by the last three police officers on the motorcycle. Heather ended up with broken ribs, lost 6 inches from her left leg and sustained a lung injury. The surgeries later further shortened her left leg and she eventually sold the story of her survival and recovery to World News , for which she earns £180k.
- Heather hired a ghostwriter named Pamela Cockerill to write a book about her experiences called Taking a Chance (1995). The book was released in the US as One Step (2002). All proceeds went to the charity entitled Adopt-A-Minefield .
- After her leg amputation and determining the cost of a prosthetic leg, she founded her own Heather Mills Health Trust in 2000 that provided prosthetics to people in need, particularly children who had stepped on land mines. The organization lasted until 2004.
