Highly talented, Hannah Storm is a sports journalist, presenter, and well-known television personality. She is recognized as the host of the pregame show on ABC called NBA Countdown .

Early life and education of Hannah Storm

Hannah Storm was born on June 13, 1962 in Oak Park, Illinois, USA. She has an American nationality belonging to the white ethnicity. Her father, Mike Storm, is a sports executive and was the commissioner of the American Basketball Association, general manager of the Indian Pacers, Kentucky Colonels and Memphis Sounds franchises of the league and president of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. Her mother, Hannah G. Storm, is a successful real estate agent in Texas.

 

Storm joined the Atlanta-based Westminster Schools, graduating in 1979. He then joined the University of North Dame, graduating in 1983, with degrees in political science and communication.

Storm began his career in journalism in 1980. He was on the air as a disc jockey for a hard rock radio station in Corpus Christi. He worked for WNDU-TV when he was at Notre Dame. He then went on to work in Corpus Christi at KNCN-FM.

After working there for six months, Storm moved to the Houston-based rock station called KSRR 97 Rock. Hanna went on to host post-game television shows for the Houston Astro. He stayed in Houston Texas for four full years. She then went to Charlotte, North Carolina and worked as a weekend sportscaster on WCNC TV 36 in 1988.

He has worked on CNN, NBC Sports, and CBS News: The Early Show. Hanna is an excellent sports announcer. She has also received Lifeworx Inc.’s “celebrity mom” award for inspiring many other moms despite the challenges she faced. She currently works with ESPN.

Storm then went to work for CNN and became the first female anchor of CNN Sports Tonight from 1989 to 1992. She has hosted the Major League Baseball Preview and the 1990 Goodwill Games for TBS. She left CNN in May 1992 and was hired by NBC in the same month.

Storm hosted the Olympic Games, NBA and WNBA basketball, National Football League, Figure Skating, and Major League Baseball during his time at NBC. Storm hosted NBC’s Major League Baseball games from 1994 to 2000. She became the first woman in the United States to serve as the solo anchor of a particular network sports package.

Hannah began hosting for the NBA and NBC in 1997. To date, she has hosted NBC Sports coverage of Wimbledon, the French Open, the World Figure Skating Championships, the NBC Sports Desk, the Notre Dame Football, the men’s and women’s US Open (golf). Hannah became the WNBA’s first female play-by-play announcer.

Hannah moved to CBS News in October 2002 and began hosting The Early Show. While there, Hannah covered news such as the Iraq War, Hurricane Katrina, Super Bowl XLI and XXXVIII, the 2004 Democratic National Convention and the United States Presidential Election, the 2008 Presidential Election, and the London terrorist attack in 2005.

To date, he has interviewed notable personalities such as George W. Bush , John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Tiger Woods, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Aniston. For a total of 5 years, Storm anchored CBS’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Storm left the CBS Early Show on December 7, 2007. He then went on to join ESPN on May 10, 2008, and began hosting SportsCenter weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon and on Sunday mornings during the NFL season. .

Storm has hosted the 2009 US Open, 2010 US Open, and 2011 Wimbledon. Storm hosted ESPN Sports Saturday on April 3, 2010. She hosted pregame coverage of the NBA Finals of 2010 and later became the host of the NBA Countdown pregame show for the 2010-2011 seasons.
