Biography
George Hamish was born on June 24, 1964, in Hammersmith, London. He grew up in Hong Kong, then a Crown Colony, and was inspired by the Apollo 11 landing while watching it on television with his parents in 1969.
At the age of 13, he joined the Royal Air Force-sponsored Air Training Corps and piloted Chipmunk airplanes. From 1975 until 1982, he attended The King’s School, an independent day school in Gloucester, South West England. He obtained his pilot’s license in 1985 while studying at Pembroke College in Cambridge.
He earned a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a postgraduate degree in Chemical Engineering.
Career
George Hamish Livingston Harding became involved in information technology in the 1990s, helping to develop Logica Middle East in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. In addition, he was appointed Managing Director of Logica India.
Harding made a huge step forward in 1999 when he founded Action Group, a private investment firm. Then, in 2002, he set another milestone by launching Action Aviation.
With White Desert, Harding revolutionized corporate jet services by venturing into Antarctic VIP tourism, assisted by a Gulfstream G550.
