Guy Sebastian is a Malaysian-born Australian singer-songwriter. He is best known as the winner of the Australian singer reality show Australian Idol in 2003 and has served as a judge on the Australian television reality music competition The X Factor in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016. He was also the Ambassador of Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, he finished fifth.

According to an August 2017 interview, Guy revealed he joined the head of Transformation Coach, Brabon, and Em Brabon-Hames, who specialized in life-changing transformations and underwent a body transformation in just 8 weeks. He could add 8 cm to his chest and remove 7 cm from his waist. His body fat percentage also changed dramatically from 19.1 percent to 7.7 percent. There were 4 workouts per week, each focused on a specific body part such as chest, back, arms and shoulders while keeping the focus on the core and legs constant. The workouts Guy incorporated into his routine were Incline Dumbell Fly, Step-Ups, Flat Bench Fly, Bodyweight Squats, Push-Ups, Battle Ropes, and Battle Ropes in an arm plank position.

- As a child, Guy took violin lessons and later learned to play guitar, drums and piano.
- He also joined choirs of Paradise Community Church and Assemblies of God Church where he was also one of their main worship singers and sang with the Paradise Community Church youth conference Planetshakers and in 2002 and 2003 he performed as both lead and backup vocals for their conferences and albums.
- While studying music technology, he taught singing at Temple Christian College and other high schools.
- In May 2003 he auditioned for the Australian singer reality show Australian Idol There he built a strong following, winning the show in November 2003 and signing with record label BMG, which later merged with Sony.
- Guy was voted among the top ten contestants having one album and six singles, two of which were number one, and have received six platinum and three gold certifications in New Zealand.
- He sang the song Angels Brought Me Here which made him the Australian Idol winner. The song peaked at number one on the ARIA Singles Chart was also a 5X platinum and in 2010 it was named the best selling song of the decade.
- While on Australian Idol, he gained popularity because of his afro, which helped with his image. In an interview he said that one day he accidentally decided that he wasn’t going to cut his hair and that it was getting bigger and the inspiration behind it was Lenny Kravitz.
- After Australian Idol he went to the UK and competed in World Idol where he made a strong impression on everyone but placed 7th.
- He has worked with some of the best known musicians including Brian McKnight, Robin Thicke, Steve Cropper, John Mayer, Jordin Sparks, Eva and Lupe Fiasko .
