Gunmen abduct over 300 college girls in Zamfara

Suspected bandits have abducted over 300 girls in Government Girls Secondary School, Zamfara State.

A source who pleaded anonymity said the bandits came around 1 am on Friday in Hilux vehicles and motorcycles and forcibly evicted the girls.

Furthermore, the source revealed that the bandit pretended to be security personnel and later broke into the girl’s hostel thereby abducting over 300 of them.

“When they came into the school, we thought they were security personnel but to our utmost fear and dismay, they started putting the girls into Hilux vehicles and motorcycles then drove out of the school,”

Accordingly, the bandits were in the school for several hours without any challenge due to the absence of the security agents.

This Zamfara incident is coming 8 days after the abduction of students and staff in Government Science College in Kagara, Niger State.

However, the State Police are yet to respond to the incidents as they promise after their visitation to the school.
