BIOGRAPHY OF GRANT WILSON
Grant Wilson is an American plumber, paranormal investigator, television host, television producer, author, and game designer. He is also an art director and developer for Rather Dashing Games (now a division of Kalmbach Publishing). He founded the game company with Michael Richie and the co-founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which is based in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Wilson is also the star and co-producer of the cable reality series, Ghost Hunters.
Wilson’s hobbies include: writing and illustrating fantasy. He also plays role-playing characters and plays and composes music on various instruments, including guitar and piano. Grant is a huge Star Wars fan.

Grant met with TAPS co-founder Jason Hawes after he offered to revamp the Rhode Island Paranormal Society (RIPS) website. RIPS is a support group Hawes formed for people who have had paranormal experiences. Grant finally admitted that the reason he wanted to meet Hawes was that he had suffered an intense and recurring paranormal experience since he was 15 years old. His recurring experience was to regularly see an unidentified entity in the woods of Rhode Island.
The duo are longtime colleagues as plumbers for Roto-Rooter. It was Hawes’ idea to bring Wilson to the plumbing business. They are also former co-owners of the Spalding Inn, based in Whitefield, New Hampshire. The duo and other members of the paranormal community frequently lecture at paranormal-related schools and conventions.
Grant is also available to hire for private ghost hunting trips, and with Hawes. He has used public ghost-hunting events and personal appearances to raise money for various charities, including the Cure Kids Cancer and Masonry-affiliated Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The duo also participate in ghost hunting events created especially for paying audiences. TAPS also offered an event organized only by TAPS members. TAPS co-hosts events such as the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, the ocean liner RMS Queen Mary in California and Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York

Wilson and Jason Hawes star in the American paranormal reality TV series Ghost Hunters. The duo investigates places that are said to be haunted. The series premiered on October 6, 2004 on Syfy and ran until October 26, 2016
Wilson announced that he would be leaving the Ghost Hunters show for personal reasons on February 15, 2012. Reasons include working on his own projects. Wilson’s final appearance was on the May 16, 2012 episode of the series.
In a UK radio interview, Grant described some of the scariest cases he’s had to deal with on Ghost Hunters. They include being detained by an entire city that practiced dark magic. He also discussed life after Ghost Hunters, including his band Carpetshark and his upcoming high fantasy novels.
The series returned on August 21, 2019 on A&E. Grant leads new investigations with a new support team and new paranormal investigation tools.
