2023 Election: Top 3 Governorship Candidate in Kwara State.
1. Ladi Adebutu – Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)
Ladi Adebutu has been formally elected as the governorship candidate for Ogun State in 2023.
The PDP electoral committee, led by Professor Akase Sorkaa, released the results of the primary election held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Adebutu received 714 votes, defeating Jimi Lawal, Segun Sowunmi, and Abodunrin Abimbola, who received no votes, according to the committee.
2. Dapo Abiodun –Â All Progressive Congress (APC)
Dapo Abiodun, the current governor of Ogun State, was named the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state for next year’s general elections.
Abiodun won the party’s primary election, at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, in Abeokuta, the state capital, which is located in Kuto, allowing him to run for a second term.
The incumbent governor ran against five other candidates in the election.
He received 1,168 votes out of 1,170 total votes cast, defeating other contenders who received no votes.
